Fillmore to complete your entry. The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Homer’s Backyard Ball Cook-Off as a Texas State Barbeque Championship Competition. Howdy! The Homer’s Backyard Ball Committee invites you to “Homeritaville” Barbeque Cook Off on May 14th and 15th , 2010 in the pasture next to Splash Amarillo, located at I-40 East and Whitaker Road. The cook off will be sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association (IBCA). Gates open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14th and all sites will be assigned at the gate upon arrival. A Kids Q will be held on Friday night – so have your young guns fire up the grill and work on those cooking skills. There will be one age group (18 and under). Participants can enter the competition Friday until 4 p.m. in the Cook Off tent. Teams cooking for the public and the coveted People’s Choice Award will be required to follow city regulations for cook-offs. Flooring will be available for rent at the event site.
Another vendor will be on-site at the event selling custom-fit flooring by the square foot. This year we are distributing a program at the event and each cook team has the opportunity to enter an advertisement. Forms are located below under Program Advertising. 2010 Team Pricing:
